Description of the way

From the Berghotel up on the right to the Froneben hut/restaurant (1540 mt.). We follow the path nr. 139 until we reach a larger trail with the nr. 13. Here on the left. We leave the wood, pass a high cross and after ca. 30 min. we arrive at the malga Nemes hut (1.877 mt.; restaurant). From the malga Nemes there is a wonderful view at the Three Peaks Dolomites and the mountains of the Cadore/Comelico. There is the possibility to go on for 45 min. and to reach the malga Coltrondo – a beautiful hut in the wood where the path is well signed. From either huts (Nemes and Coltrondo) in 1,5 h you can reach the Passo Monte Croce. From there we take the autobus or we walk back (ca. 1,5 h) to Moso and the Berghotel.

Indications & advices

For this beautiful tour you need no car, but a good map can be useful. The tour can also be done the other way round starting at the Passo Monte Croce (reachable by bus) saving ca. 250 m of altitude.
