They are one of the most fotographed mountains of the Alps and maybe the pretties. Not only photographers and nature lovers fall in love but especially mountaineers and climbers. For a serious climber the north walls of the Three Peaks are a „must have“ and in the different climbing routes are often climbers from all over the world. The first climbers names are Innerkofler, Dülfer, Grohmann, Preus then after WW I - Comici, Dimai, Cassin - after Reinhold Messner, Kammerlander to arrive at these days with the Huber brothers, the czeck Koubal e Knez, David Lama or Adam Ondra

Where are the Three Peaks exactly?

They are in the Dolomites of Sexten – Sesto in the Natural Park Drei Zinnen – Tre Cime on the border with the province of Belluno. The North walls are on the South Tyrolean side – Südtirol – Alto Adige and the rest of the mountain belongs to Auronzo, province Belluno region Veneto.

Who had the opportunity to stay directly in front of the Three Peaks or on a rope in one of the North Walls, will never forget this experience. The Highest tower – Große Zinne – Cima Grande is 2.999 m (in old maps 3.003 m) high, the Western tower – Westliche Zinne – Cima Ovest 2.973 m and the Small tower – Kleine Zinne – Cima Piccola 2.857 m.
