20. MTB tour to Prato Piazza and Monte Specie

Start at the Berghotel on the bikeway to San Canddio/Innichen and Toblach/Dobbiaco. On the left always on the bikeway towards Cortina and 200 m after Schluderbach/Carbonin starts a forest road on the right which leads up after 7 km on the Plätzwiese/Prato Piazza. At the Dürrensteinhütte/Rifugio Vallandro/hut take aright and after ca. 40 min. your arrive at the peak of the Strudelkopf/Monte Specie. The view is unsuperable! Try it! Back for a little on the same way and then down on the right on path nr. 34. This old path from WW I is extremely steep and exposed and reserved only for very good bikers. Down at the bottom back on the bikeway to Toblach/Dobbiaco – San Candido/Innichen and Sexten/Sesto back home.
