9. MTB Tour to Marchkinkele and Bonner hut

Tour

This dream tour starts from the Berghotel to the church in Sexten and up direction Panorama. In the 9th turn take a left to the Gasthof Waldruhe and further on path 2 and 4 down to Vierschach/Versciaco on a gravel road. Again up passing the Jaufen farms to the chapel San Silvestro and further up on a military road to the peak of the Marchkinkele (2.550 m). Further on the crest to the left until the peak of the Pfannhorn/Corno di Fana (2.600 m), from where the views at 360° are simply wonderful. (some passages where to push the bike). Directly from the peak down very steep to the Bonner hut and its terrace where it seems to be in a cinema in the 1st row. Directly from the terrace on a very litte, steep and breathtaking trail down to the Silvesteralm/malga San Silvestro and the Silvestervalley to Toblach/Dobbiaco. Back home on the bikeway to Innichen/San Candido and Sexten/Moos.

A wonderful tour but difficult technical and physical.
