Description of the way

We go by bus or by car (toll road) to the Auronzo hut. Then we take way number 101 passing the Forcella di Lavaredo to the Locatelli hut, where the view to the Three Peaks is breathtaking. From the Locatelli hut we take way number 105 to the Lange Alp and the Forcella Col di Mezzo back to Auronzo hut.

Advices and suggestions

Excellent view to the group of the Cadini, from the Locatelli hut best view to the north Walls of the Three Peaks. Easy tour but pay attention in case of fog. Start as early as possible in the morning to find a bit of quiet.

From the Locatelli hut descent to Fischlein Valley (ca. 2,5 hours – 900 m)

Summary

An easy tour around of the symbol ensemble of the Dolomites! Simply spectacular, in the first part many persons. Arriving by bus to the Auronzo hut makes only sense if you go back form the Drei Zinnenhut to Sexten and the Berghotel passing the Fischlein Valley by foot. Not possible with strollers.
